There is something strangely captivating about fables, myths and fairy tales. I am naturally drawn to these types of stories as there is something darker and foreboding about them. In my first year of fashion school, (which seems like ages ago), I used fairy tales as a source of inspiration.
I am now re-visiting this body of work and diving a little bit further. These are just a few photos I've been collecting as sources of inspiration. Each photo draws me in and tells a story of its own.

Love these pics!
ReplyDeleteTattoos are a horrible thing to do to a young beautiful body. They are always regretted in later life. Your photos are disturbing; like a nightmare.
ReplyDeleteHow can you judge something that you obviously don't have any experience with?
Deletewow really? people dont always regret them especially when they mean something special to them. tattoos are beautiful. some are ugly but thats the person's choice. all the tattoos i want are BEAUTIFUL<3

ReplyDeleteThese photos have such a dream-like quality. Hauntingly beautiful. Love that tattoo of the dandelion wisps turning into birds--inspired!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tattoos....stunningly beautiful and haunting pictures.
ReplyDeleteto anonymous...You opinion is not fact, tattoos are a personal expression and does NOT always result in regret.
ReplyDeleteMagical indeed. I felt transported by this post.
ReplyDeleteFirst time here but I'll be back.
Absolutely stunning photos... ethereal!
ReplyDeleteI'm a tattooist, and I'm here to say please don't copy that dandilion>flock of birds design, I've tattooed that thing (or slight variations) on well over three dozen people, even on two unrelated people on the same day. One girl bought in a tracing and said she had drawn it, haha! Anyway steer clear of that thing, or you'll meet someone at a party wearing the same design and it will make a very awkward evening. Get something original, or at least classic (like those famour flickr blossoms) and not so recognisable!
ReplyDeleteOh wow. Dies.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are sooooooo pretty!! People need to lighten up about the tattoos. They are simply gorgeous! There's nothing wrong with people getting the dando
ReplyDeletethese pics are so beautiful!!! People need to loosen up on the tattoos. Just because THREE DOZEN people out of the BILLIONS of people in the world got the dandilion>flock of birds design doesn't mean that people shouldn't get it. There are tons of people with incorrect Chinese characters on their body but people still get them. Personally it would be pretty awesome to meet someone with the same tattoo at a party because that means I just met someone with the same great taste as me. Wonderful way to strike up a conversation!
