Custom Gold Cuff

loveatfirstblush customized gold cuff, art nouveau leather

I recently made a pair of black and gold cuffs for a customer, a custom request to lengthen the size and remove the bird from the original design. I love the way the gold cuff catches the light.

Custom Leather Cuff: Sophie's Design

I always enjoy receiving customs orders and I recently finished an order for a client, a pair of cuffs that extend all the way to the elbow.

The concept: Her name translates into Ishtar, which is a Babylonian goddess of love, war and fertility, the symbol being a seven pillared mandala.  I used the mandala as the focal point of the piece with circular elements to compliment and reference the moon, the goddess and femininity.

They turned out more beautiful than I imagined and I will be planning to add longer cuffs to my shop.

Customer Appreciation Photos: Barbarella Cuff

I've been busy working on another Barbarella Cuff for a customer this week. I made my first one in May for a customer who was attending the DragonCon convention in Atlanta.

She sent in some photos of herself wearing one of Jane Fonda's outfits with the custom designed cuff from our shop. She looks the part down to every detail; the thigh high boots and latex buckled vest. Thanks Kenya for sending in the photo!

On a side note, there are rumors that Anne Hathaway will star as Barbarella in the upcoming remake.

Super Heroes and Super Villains: Barbarella Leather Cuff

Recently, I had an interesting request for a custom designed cuff from the 1960's sci-fi film Barbarella starring Jane Fonda. It was the finishing touch to a client's costume while attending Dragon Con in Atlanta.

I watched the movie for the first time to get a better idea of the cuff. It reminded me of a female Austin Powers movie, high on the cheese and camp factor!

I made the cuff from silver leather to mimic the metal material, rhinestones for the bolts and a small plastic ball to represent the sensor. The ball lights up when touched and flashes bright red. (Both the wire and ball section are entirely removable. How cool is that?)
