I have developed a greater fondness for Valentino after seeing the film a few years ago. These are a few of my favorite pieces from Valentino Couture Spring 2013. The neckline on the right looks like piped icing on a cake.

If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that one of my favorite designers is Elie Saab. Every time I see his Haute Couture collection, I feel like I'm drifting through clouds of pastel cotton candy. His confections are always dreamy pastel gowns whipped with elegantly placed beads and lace. The beauty is definitely in the workmanship of the lace and applique details.

Scooters and Sunsets in Florence

Walking along the River Arno in Florence, you can catch glimpses of bicycles and scooters zipping down the paved streets. If you stand in one spot long enough, you'll see a fashion parade of stylish outfits flashing by on chic colorful bikes. It makes me want to own a red scooter and drive along the streets of Old Montreal.

New Year. New Plans.

As we look ahead into the new year, we have new plans, new goals and a new direction. I'm looking into getting a larger work space, and some new tools and equipment to help with production. That means that you'll be able to get your items faster to your door.

When I started this venture, I only had one design that I hoped would sell. I was working in my bachelor studio and fulfilling orders late at night. Now we are in several stores, have sold hundreds and we have yet to fulfill our new plans for 2013.

It's a new year. Hello 2013.

A look back at 2012; It was a year full of blog collaborations, traveling to new design shows, wandering to new cities, and building our own website. I even collaborated on some wedding designs, got some press, and sent some pieces to a movie production, which was quite exciting.

Thank you for reading my blog and supporting our brand. This venture couldn't have happened without the continual support of our friends and fans. Every time I read a comment about how happy you are with the pieces, I am deeply touched.
